Jeep JK K&N Air Intake
New for the Jeep JK, K&N came out with a new high-flow
intake system for the '07 Jeep Wrangler 3.8L V-6 (PN
63-1553). The power increase is said to be 8.17 hp at
4,807 rpm. To achieve more horsepower, K&N replaces the
Wrangler's original intake assembly; including the
airbox, air filter, and intake tube, with an all-new
intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N
filter that increases airflow and filtering capacity.
The filter is isolated from engine heat by a
powdercoated steel heat shield that replaces the stock
airbox.
