Tufoil uses incredibly tiny sized particles of the PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and soluble Molybdenum suspended in a pure synthetic base. Unlike other PTFE additive products on the market Tufoil's particles are so small, .5 to.05 microns in size, that the PTFE will not, can not, clog the oil filter. Holding a Guinness world record for being the worlds most efficient lubricant, Tufoil adds additional lubrication to moving engine parts by coating surfaces with the additional lubricant PTFE, reducing friction and resistance, engine temperature, and most importantly, reducing friction at cold starts where most engine wear occurs. Cold starts are aided by the fact that while the engine oil drains from cold engine parts, the PTFE stays coated to moving parts such as bearing, cylinder walls, valve guides and anythng else that engine oil lubricates. So cold starts are not as harsh as oil only lubrication. Known as the most slippery surface known to man by the US Government's the National Bureau of Standards, Tufoil helps the engine start easier and smoother, run cleaner and faster, and last longer. Please note that Tufoil is not recommended as a way to extend the interval between oil changes. Oil will still collect carbon and contaminates from the combustion process and regular oil and filter changes are still necessary to keep oil clean. Tufoil is safe for all gas and diesel engines.
