if the company replaced my tires at no cost my review would be better. this was just a bad set of tires.i know people with the tires that have no problems.i dont believe im responsible for these tires

Tires started out great. I have them on my 04 2500HD quadcab. I use them in the winter for plowing and they worked great initially. I have about 11,000 miles on them with about 50% tread left and they seem to have lost there grip. I use to plow in 2wd and now I need 4wd for everything. If used for just wheeling the weekend bomber they would be great but not for the daily driver. They make a ton of noise at 75 as well but what can one expect from an aggressive M/T.

I have a set of 285/75/16 on my 95 chevy and they do really well in thick south carolina swamp mud. they shed mud really well and ride really well on the street. they start to howl a bit when they get around 10,000 miles, but not unbearable. only been stuck once, but that was cuz of clearence issues, not the tire

I replaced my green diamond icelanders with these tires and at first I really liked them. I still do, however they are wearing very quickly. I have them on a jeep liberty with many many mods and even though it is fairly light, they are wearing fast. Maybe 12K on them and they may have 1/2 tread.
I do have a Detroit locker so that doesn't help much. They are pretty good in the mud, crap in the sand.

I got these tires in 267/75R16 on my cherokee a while back and they went everywhere, put about 5k on them. I since then have sold the cherokee and they have been on my 99 4Runner daily driver for roughly 10k miles. The tread is decent wear for the price but they will go quick. I still have enough tread to last me about 9k miles. They do pretty well in the mud, snow, and rain and haven't disappointed me. I wasn't expecting much out of them bc of the price but they are alright MT's. I heard they did a recall or pro-rate recall on them or something bc of the sidewall issue but mine are fine. One tire however does have problems keeping air over long drives (2 hours). Oh, and almost forgot they hum, not whine like grapplers, but hum pretty dang loud.
If you asked me if they are worth your money I would say no.. Not bc of the tread life, noise, or anything else but simply bc of the issue the company had with the sidewalls. Not worth risking your money or even life for a defective tire/set. I did not know of the defect at the time I bought them but I guess I lucked out and got a good set. I'll prob blow a tire now that I've said all this haha

i can't give them a 9 or 10 yet because i haven't seen how long they will last. i only have a couple thousand miles on them. what i have found so far it that they ride a tad bumpier than others mt's i have had, they are surprisingly quite, wet pavement traction due to the sipes is great(saved me from wrecking the other day!), what else. they climb like a squirrel, they self clean very very well, stick to gravel roads with excellence, and do darn good in the mud. they will be up there in my book with the old goodyear mt(best tire i ever owned) if they last as long. they are better than the mastercraft coursers i had on my truck previously.

I sold a lot of these tires. They looked good and were cheap. I began getting the tires back splitting on the sidewalls. The first couple of set I just eat the exspense. After that I started trying to get the distributor to prorate them for me. Now I guess they have gotten so many they won't give me anything on them.I quit selling them a long time ago. My supplieris still selling them even after they know the tires are unsafe.

UPDATE:
well i have one tire that won't balance now, and i get a bit of wobble at certain speeds. that is ok though because i have finally put these things to the test. at my hunting area, they pulled me around in 2wd where i normally would have had to use 4wd. i wasn't throwing rooster tails either. i was just keeping a steady moderate rmp and the tires would clean and pull me forward. no others have been able to do that in there. also, there is a boat launch that is nothing more than a muddy hill going into the river backwater that i launch my duck boat from. i went in and out of there in 4 with out spinning a tire! i have never done that before on that ramp nor have i ever seen that before right there.

I bought an 04 silverado 2500hd and they have done great for pullin my truck and stuck trucks out no problem. Not sure how many miles on them, but i'm super unhappy with these ones i noticed the splits on the inner sidewalls and then checkin the air in the one day i saw all 4 were plittin on the outside. i replace the back 2 with some older tires and still have these on the front. Fingers crossed for no blowout... Great for your weekend buggy, but steer clear for the 2500's and any daily driver. (to think i wanted to get another set for my truck after i bought the 2500, that could have been a bad idea)

I have a set of 265/75R16 M/Ts on my 91 Dodge Power Ram W250 HD and so far I am very satisfied. I now can go places in 2wd where I normally would need 4wd. They make a little growl on pavement but that's typical of a mud tire. If your looking for a tire that's more than an A/T but not a full fletched swamper I say this is the way to go. Plus I get better gas mileage with these then you would a swamper tire. Please note: My truck is an everyday driver so it's not abused quite like a mud truck would be, but when I do leave the paved road I have the confidence and reassurance that these tires will pull my truck through when needed.

I recently ordered a set of 30 x 9.5 x 15 Federal Couragia M/T's. When they arrived, I was shocked at the lack of quality. They looked like a seventh grade arts and crafts class had constructed them! Then, when I discovered online, all the reported cases of sidewall separation, I was too scared to put them on my jeep and I exchanged them with the dealer for some KM2's. His response to me when I returned them was, "We were all betting on how long it would take for you to bring them back!" It's too bad a reputable tire company doesn't have the mold for this tire because reports say it pulls strong in the mud and it is an awesome looking tire. I'm just not willing to risk safety for that!

I have a set on my 95 wrangler with about 25000 miles on them they perform great try them you won't be disapointed the guy with the split sidewalls most likely not running enough psi on highway any tire will do that on the road with low psi

Pros:
|
super quiet mud tyre! good tread life, beast in mud
|
Cons:
|
none really,,have to drop them down to 10psi for sand
|
|
iv got these in a 33 12.5 on my hilux, i done about 40,000 kms and still have tread, on road during week, off road weekends,if you run them 40psi on road they are very slippery on road,36psi they fine, quite mud tyre from new to finish..
they ripp through mud, and go fine on rocks and all terains, and they didnt effect fuel consumption like the other 33 12.5 tyres...
if your gonna buy a cheaper tyre id get these, other wise pay extra and get mtz!

i had mine for about a year and a half, thread wear of about 50%, travelled 24,000 kilometers on them, mostly on paved roads, occassionally on muddy terrain. Started to be more noisy at this time and inner sidewalls are splitting on multiple locations, one has started to leak air. I am seriously looking for another brand of tires

Our shop has sold lots of the federal mud terrains over the last 4 or 5 years. We never had any of them come back with sidewall problems. However we do talk to all of our customers about tire maintenence- they are mud terrains and they are more work to take care of- you have to rotate them all the time and run lots of air. These tire are just like anything else if you don't run enough air the sidewalls crack. you are a lot better off running too much air than not enough.

I recently put the 35x12.50x15 on my lifted 99 dodge ram 1500. Have put 250 miles on them so far and have had no problems. Took them out wheeling and went thru some holes in 2wd that i needed 4wd when i had 37s on my truck. So far no problems with the sidewalls. All around they are great. Can't wait to try them at the uwharrie national forest this weekend for some rock crawling. Use the truck as a daily driver and drive 60 miles back and forth to work a day and they are awesome on the road. Will post further reviews as i put more miles on them.

I have a set of 33x12.5R20 on my 2008 silverado. Put about 10K miles on them, still ride like new. I little noisy on the hwy at 70mph but I've much louder MTs from differnt brands. They look excellent, very aggressive. They power very smoothly through the Louisiana bayous, not problem. Only got stuck once well that was my fault haha. Paid $800 new for the set, will buy again. Overall best value tire for the price, looks, and durability.

I just replaced all four with a different M/T. Definetly not getting these federals again.

i have 35x12.50 on my 2013 f250. i keep them at my trucks recommended air pressure. i have had two of them separate. they still have better than 50% tread life left on them. i am going back to something different since the company will not stand behind them. i do like the way they pull in the mud, but am afraid of the these tires and want to feel safer about pulling my 5th wheel camper.

Left a very positive post on Apr. 26, 2013. I've had these tires for almost 2yrs now, 33x12.5R20. Last week driver side front tire exploded on I-10 from Lafayette to New Orleans. I did not hit any objects, front end started shacking profusely, next thing tire blew up. Pulled tire off found three areas of tear. I loved these during duck season but I will not recommend these tires to anyone bc of the unreliability and poor build. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these tires. Just placed order for BFG All-Terrains.
