After a long absence from the American market, Toyota has re-introduced an all-new version of the famous FJ two-door Toyota Land Cruiser for '07. Looking very similar to the concept vehicle Toyota unveiled at the Detroit Auto show in 2003, the all-new Land Cruiser boasts futuristic styling and a whole host of off-road ready options.
Under the hood, the FJ Land Cruiser shares the same variable valve timing, DOHC, 4.0-liter V6, that is found in the midsize Tacoma pickup. With 236 horsepower and 266 lb/ft of torque on tap, the new Land Cruiser will hold its own in most situations. But add a lift kit, and larger than stock tires, and the V6 could start to feel slightly underpowered.
Since most 4x4 owners are always looking for more power, AIRAID Filter Company has managed to squeeze more horsepower and torque from the FJ Land Cruiser's 4.0-liter V6 powerplant with the development of an all-new Cool Air Dam Intake System. AIRAID’s new bolt-on CAD system for Toyota’s newest SUV family member takes full advantage of the cool outside air to significantly enhance air flow to the engine, generating more horsepower and torque as well as improved throttle response.
On the dyno, the Toyota FJ Land Cruiser CAD Air Intake System generated an additional 15 rear-wheel horsepower and 12 lb/ft of torque. And as is the case with all AIRAID products, the FJ Land Cruiser Intake System comes with our No Hassle Warranty.
