The More Power Puller is one of the most durable, heavy-duty, and safest hand winches or hand pullers / hoists on the market today. Made by a small company called The Wyeth-Scott Company out of Newark Ohio, this hand winch is a great companion to stash on the back of your 4x4. The hand winch is made from 27 lbs. worth of solid ductile and malleable iron and has 3 hooks including a heavy duty Tackle block hook and extra heavy duty 5/16" (6 x 37) wire rope. It is easy to operate, versatile and blows away the typical stamped steel hand winch (come-along) that most people are accustom to seeing and using. With a dead lift rating of 2 or 3 tons, model specific, it may prove to be the recovery item that you rank up there with your highlift jack.

I've had one of these More Power Pullers for many years now. I use it once in a while for all kinds reasons. Occasionally I've had to use it for recovery reasons offroad. Once it came in real handy when the back end of my 69 Bronco was sliding off a ridge while the front was being winched up. I used the More Power Puller to pull the back end over and back onto the trail. I actually drug the rear end over 2 feet sideways with this thing using the snatch block that's on the cable. I've been rough with this thing and it only shows a lack of paint for it. I've used it for work around the farm like hoisting things up into the barn and lifting a trailer onto it's side to work on it. It's a tough hand winch. Nothing like those cheap come-alongs. A great compliment to a winch.

I've had the More Power Puller for almost 10 years now and have used it around the farm and always carry it onto the trails. It's great because it strong, well built and portable. I've had to use it in situations where the Warn winch was doing one thing while this More Power Puller was pulling another way or securing the vehicle. To me it's about as important as a HiLift jack!

I bought this unit for offroad recovery.I have a jeep wrangler.I have not used it in a real situation yet but I did simulate one. I tried to pull my jeep up hill with the emergency brake on. It was not easy but it was moving the jeep.I releaced the e-brake and the jeep pulled up the hill quite easily.

My uncle came home from Vietnam and drove up in a 72 Bronco with a More Power Puller. I spent a lot of time in the Bronco. We used a five foot solid rod for a handle, and the snatch block was off after the cable broke the first time. That particular More Power Puller is behind the seat of his Nissan 4x4 now. That poor thing has been in some major binds over the years, and the cable is all that broke. The same cable is on it, it is just a foot shorter. I bought number six yesterday. I have six in my posession now. I live in oilfield country and they are plentiful here in the pawn shops. Have moved 30,000 pound oilfield skids with them. This is a frame with a couple of 500 hp Cat engines sitting on top. I don't know how many I have had over the years. I buy them and pretty them up, and sometimes sell them for cost, or give them away. I have had a few with a square frame riveted to the bottom. I even have a small one ton model. Bottom line, More Power Pullers are heck for stout and will far surpass anything else out there. For what it is capable of, when you match price with simplicity, you can't lose. I have pulled out a full size 4x4 that was so far down that the doors were sweeping mud when I opened them. I pulled up two trees before I found enough chain to reach a larger one. But, with each handle move, the truck was coming out. I had a six ft. handle in it and three grown men working that handle. I have changed engines, pulled implements from the rear of stuck tractors, directional felled trees, drug large trees out of the road after two tornadoes, cleared five miles of Bayou Dorcheat, straightened bent trailers, used in place of a winch on a wrecker, pulled a water well pump, tied down a load of logs, drug a Bobcat skid steer up on a trailer that had a bad engine and locked wheels, retrieved a sunk boat out of a pond, kept corral gates shut when loading cows, straighten out wrecked car frames, square up metal building frames (that is why I keep so many), and this is what I have used a More Power Puller for that is just off the top of my head.
