i have the km2 on my 2003 chevy 2500HD and i love them in every use.
they stick to the road like glue and i tow a 10000 lb boat ( very important )
i drive the beach and flipping awesome in the sand you just need to know how to off road ( "air down" ) and let me say in the mud they kick ass but still have a long way to compare to my swamper's.
the little i have used them on the rock's have been good. i plow snow and have a 8 1/2 foot v plow fisher and they hook up under any amount of snow in front of the blade.
have no problem's in the rain / ice.
THE BIG PROBLEM IS MILEAGE!!!!!!!!!!!
i have the 265/75/16 load range E and got them less then a year ago and will be lucky to make the winter.
my truck is perfectly aligned and the wear is perfectly flat and i have 7839 miles on them and almost bald. called BF GOODRICH and they wont do a thing about it. for the price i should get 20000 not 7839.
so i think even as good as they hook up in all conditions the $1200.00 is not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7839 mi is bull s*! and will never buy them again!!!!
all you guys that say these tires arent good in mud are CRAZY!i put a set of 35x14.50 on my 79 chevy short bed.i tried to get stuck and couldnt.if you question the terrain,go to youtube and look up the badlands in attica indiana.

I run the 35x12.50-18 on my chipped 99' F350 crew cab lifted 4" and I Love these tires! they grip like crazy, and Look AWSOME!! wear well. handle heavy loads and heat well. ran a gross load of 33k over 2500 miles and they held up very well! I had 13k on my rear axle once and had no problems with the tires. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT THOUGH! they don't do that well in the mud and if you are in deep snow you have to get out and beat the snow out of the tread then you can go again. ran around after an ice storm and didn't have to use 4X4. spun a bit on a few really steep hills but I could still accelerate and stop with full control of the truck. I had Toyo open country A/T's before and they were great as well but didn't grip as well. I went sideways in the road on wet corner acceleration and could do awesome burn outs on hard acceleration. hard to do with these. really quiet as well. I got stuck in 2ft of mud but with the help of a shovel I got out. I got a 4020 John deer tractor stuck in the same mud though.

I run 235/85 16's on my 2004 Silverado 2500HD with stock suspension. I drive 90% on pavement, but when I am off road I need capable tires. I always add some weight to the truck bed when I'm looking for traction in snow or ice on pavement, or when off-road. I just purchased my second set of these tires. The first set performed flawlessly for 110,000 km's. All on/off road tires are a compromise. I get good milage and predictable handling under all hard surface applications, and excellent performance on gravel and dirt roads. I do use the tire in true off road conditions including very deep mud. These tires have never let me down, but I do agree that deep sand and bottomless mud is beyond the design capabilites of these tires, as it is with any dual prupose tire, so I stay out of the deep stuff when I can and I carry a winch. In my opinion, for deep mud and sand only a specialized tire will do, and you have to put up with the noise, poor milage, tread squirm, rapid wear, poor handling and reduced wheel well clearance that comes with a full on mud tire.
I run relatively narrow 235'85's, and this helps a lot. My truck might look better with 285/75's, but the wider contact patch reduces traction, and this is a traction tire. It is one thing to compromise between on and off road service, and another to simply compromise performance for looks. When folks put overly wide/large tires on thier vehicles for asthetic reasons, it seems unfair to criticise the tire for poor performance.
This is a great tire, and for me, offers the best compromise between a road tire and an off-road tire, but putting the right sized tire on your vehicle for the kind of driving that you do is an extreemly important place to start.

I have had 2 sets of these tires on my Tundra getting ready to buy the 3rd set. They bite really well in to the snow even going down a 16 percent grade with switch backs. As you can see you can even put the spikes in the for ice which I have never have done yet. I can't imagine how much more traction you would have with the spikes in them.

On my 92 W-250 they pulled and fought down the road for the first 3,000 miles then road smooth. Did some average mud driving when going to ride quads. Did really well getting through the mud, but wore out really fast. By the time 10,000 miles were on them, i was sliding on the Highway when it was wet. Would not recommend for anyone who wants their tires to last.

I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 Diesel, and the tires only have 25,000 miles and they are BALD!! The last set of Pro-Comp Xtream Mud went 50,000. I have done some off road driving with them and they perform fairly average. Nothing to write home about.
