Centralia Pennsylvania

The following photos were sent in by Valerie Chavis-Kosko.  They were taken June 4, 2005.  Valerie make the following comments:
Here are pictures of our weekend road trip to Centralia on June 4, 2005. We all piled on the Harleys from Baltimore and headed up to see what the stir was all about.  It was definitely an eerie feeling walking up Route 61....the smells, no sound and smoke all around you.... We all felt like actors in a Sci-fi flick after a nuclear bomb attack.

Below are two pictures of the group and their bikes on the way to Centralia...by way of the "Roaring Bull" Millersburg Ferry.  The Millersburg Ferry, located in the scenic Pennsylvania mountains in the historic town of Millersburg Pennsylvania, crosses the mile wide Susquehanna River.

13 motorcycles...we had a big crowd watching us drive the bikes on the ferry.
