Decent in mud, great on the road not super loud but my presence is know thats for sure. snow is the worst in untouched snow they pull but as soon as there is even a small layer of ice you better off stay where you are

i bought my 285 75 16 for my 2003 GMC 2500HD september a year ago and keep in mind i drive less than 10,000 miles a year, i only got 11,863 miles out of my set as of january 28 2010. i depended on them for 4 months a year for hunting season and they are decent in the mud when they are fairly new but poor in the snow. maybe my truck is to heavy and this cut my miles, i dont know. will not buy again!

I've been driving on these daily for over a year on my f150. 36x12.5r15. offroad they are outstanding and i'd love to buy bigger ones. They were ok on road for about 4 months and slowly got more egg shaped. They are no longer driveable on the street because they cause death wobble at 40MPH. They still have 80% of the tread left and none of the sidewall cracks everyone talks about. They just run out of round and take 20+ oz. of weight to balance when new. 30+ after about a year. And yes they are louder than a bogger. You start hearing them at about 20mph. But for a Dedicated trail truck I've never seen better.

I have had several sets on 4WD vehicles over a few decades. I taught skiing at Tahoe and would get to the Ski Resort 7-8AM Before the bucket loaders were done clearing and on days we got so much snow we had to shut down the ski resort. I'd drive through 3+ feet of Sierra Cement and have fun in the parking lot. These tires really performed in both deep sugar pow and sierra cement. I flyfish and/or hunt constantly and they are also great off road on Forest Service wash board roads and on beaches in the sand. I have had them in rock terrain and some mud puddles 2 feet deep and they did GREAT!Excellent on sand too. I have gotten 65K+ out of sets. Great tire for the skier, hunter, flyfisherman that needs to get in the back country.

I bought these tires from Discount tire! I have a 04 Dodge Dakota, i bought 285/75/R16, my stock size is 265/75/R16 at the time they didnt make 265's, But i had about 15k miles on them and had 3 go out of round, but thanks to Discount i got 4 new tires for $175 nice, since then i put about 30k on this set and i tell ya what no tire is going to be perfect!!! They are made by Man and nothing Man makes is perfect!!! Now i have ran these tires for a while and i think they are awsome tires and recommend them to everyone i know! i work at GM building caddy's and i tell everyone how awsome they are! i was nearly stuck 1 time in the 30k mile i put on them and it was in realy deep snow up to mid bumper lol and after a little rocking i walked right through!!! Mud never put in 4wd and i had mud half of the tire and it walked right through, ice they are almost magical!!! Now since they are almost worn out they still do well in snow, Now for those who had issiue's dont put so much air into the tire i never ran tire presure over 35 pounds they were great !!! So much so i am about to buy 4 more Lord willing these will last just as long!!!!!!!!

Have just over 20k on mine (05 Ram 2500 cummins) they still look like new. I rotate them every 7500 mi. I notice people complaining about wear with these tires, if you are driving a truck that requires load range E tires, and you put on a D range tire...... that is operator error not the tires fault.
