I have one of these myself undergoing restoration slowly. It was bought by my parents new and I have all of the original paperwork as well as the actual magazine ad you have pictured above. I can't wait until I have it all done. Make sure you hang on to that one! I have heard a number of 1500 originally produced, though I could be wrong.

I bought the Firestone Destination A/T's without regard to price vs some more expensive brands based on every tire review I could find. I've had no handling or vibration problems with driving at high highway speeds. I have them on a 4X4 midsize SUV where I replaced these Destination A/Ts for Goodyear Wrangler HPs. The difference in traction, wet or dry, is like day and night! I have driven them on fairly rough unpaved wet roads and didn't even have to turn on the 4X4 option. For you negative responders: Keep your tire pressure correct, wheels balanced and rotated, and vehicle aligned and I bet you would have a different attitude. By the way, I have driven for 49 years all over the world using every type of vehicle.

I have put 40,000 on these tires and I have the ct. I have hated them from the start. I live in snow 6 months out of the year, this tire drifts on gravel, snow and rain, and slips on the highway, I have had bad noise problems, and worble. I rotate every 3,000, I had balanced and still crap!!. I have had BF's Goodyear, and others and I will never buy this master crap again. I am lucky I haven't wrecked trying to turn in the snow.

Replaced my BFG AT KO's after 4.5 years and 180,000 kms. Those I won't buy again. for the last 3 years I've been wishing they would wear out.
These Terra Trac's are what I expected them to be, Bridgestone Revo knock offs. Much better than the BFG AT in everything but wear. If your are looking for tires that hold up to mud or gravel.....go buy yourself some MT's, if you want tires that are spectacular on ice.....buy dedicated winter tires, if you want tires that get a million miles......buy high mileage tires. These are good for ALL Terrains. Great at none.

These tires were purchased for $700 for a set of 4 installed and balanced. Had they not have been so cheap I wouldn't have bought them. My previous tires wer BFG AT KO's and they lasted 180,000 kms but were terrible in winter. After the first year I was wishing they would wear out. I sold them with about 1/3 traction left going into the 5th winter season.
These Terra Trac's seem to have worn fairly quickly at first but I was towing and driving alot that first month. We just had our first big dump of snow, the temp dropped to -30 C and ice is all over. These aren't nearly as good as winter tires but much better than the BFG's. Did I mention that the BFG's were $230 each?
The Terra Tracs aren't great.....but not bad. Under the same buying experience, I'd buy them again. I drive a 2005 Nissan Xterra. I'll posta again when they wear out.

the only way i would recommend this tire is if your putting them an a jeep or extremely light truck. My dad has a 2000 F250 only 30,000 miles and they look like racing slicks. the lugs seem to like seperating alot. I would never get these tires also because their performance in the mud is a joke.

I slapped these on my 99 k2500. I had to constantly rotate and balance them as they just wore out FAST. I loved the way they cut through the water when it rained, best tire I had for that yet! I just felt for the $$ spent, the way that they wore down so quickly, it was not worth it in the long run. They do look freaking killer though!
