106.7 The Drive
It all started back in 1988, when the first Towasaurus Wrex Monster Truck
debuted on the racing circuit. On that day the body was made of sheet metal and
had red flames on the hood. The original owner of the truck was Gary
DeMauro from Bergenfield, NJ. Gary designed the truck to resemble a 1946 Tow
Truck. To this day, even though the frame has been updated and it paint schemes
have changed. The truck still features a 1946 Chevy Tow Truck body. The
truck is currently owned by Jeff Bursey out of Massachusetts. Since taken
over ownership of Towasaurus Wrex. The truck has appeared at events not only all
over the US but all over the world!
JB Motorsports is owned by Jeff Bursey out of Dracut, MA. They have run such
names as Towasaurus Wrex, Boston Big Shot, Temporarily Insane and Hammer Time.
Jeff has also filled in as a driver for numerous other teams over the years.
Today, the team still runs the Towasaurus Wrex name which made it's debut back
in 1988. They also still have the rights to the Boston Big Shot and
Temporarily Insane names.
Don't be surprised if you catch Jeff announcing a show that his truck is also in
attendance at. Jeff has quickly become one of the top Motorsports announcers on
the circuit today. His energy and excitement can be felt at any show he attends.

Twisted Willys
As we watched this beast crawl up the RTI Ramp, observed the pivot point just behind the cab of the
truck as it worked it's extra flex into a great score for a 118 inch wheelbase
vehicle, we knew we would have to do a page on
this beast.
