The tread is quiet on road. The traction is average off road. A good choice for 90% on road, 10% off road user. I persoanlly have ripped through the sidewall twice in one year of using these tires. The dealer was good however and gave me warranty on the second tire. I will not be using these tires again once they require replacing.

This is the best tire I have ever had. It was a 76 Chevy 3/4 ton pu w 35x14.5 SSR's. I put alot of long summer hours on the highway with these tires and so far 50,000 kms. Great in the snow, I pushed out a tracker and pulled a Nissan at the same time uphill in the snow without lockers !! Next I will try the STS .. Still don'T think it will do better than the SSR.

ive been running on the same set for almost 2-3 years now. i live in far far north queensland in the cape york. they have never let me down there great on road to but abit slippery in the wet on a smooth peice of bitumen.ive pulled out at least 4 cruisers and 3 hiluxs runnin on coopers and wranglers.and others sorts of all terrain tyres. im driving a 2.8l rodeo. so its doin me wonders these tyres.as for punches and what not ive never had a problem apart from A screw. im down to my last few mm of tread (literaly ive worn em to slicks) and only now that one tyre has chipped. i swear by these tyres. if only they would do somethin about the price.

I'm very disappointed in these tires. Previously had the old style Big O Bigfoot XT Mud tires. These tires lowered my gas mileage by over 3mpg, I can't coast down hills anymore because rolling resistance is so high, they're noisy, vibrate the truck at 50mph which gets worse with increased speed, can't take corners fast on asphalt like I used to, slip on wet asphalt and do OK in dirt/gravel. Must air down in sand, which I don't like having to do.

I'm calling Cooper tomorrow about any type of warranty. Size: 265/75 R16 Wanna buy them off me? Have 4 with over 5,000 miles and a brand new spare. In AZ, write me at femseadoo@yahoo.com

I am reposting from my 11/8/07 post. I have about 10K miles on these tires and have rotated them and they are hardly worn. The tires were a little rough at first but seem to have mended in great, I never once worry about getting stuck on rivers when I drop in my kayak, it just pulls right out. Snow was incredible through the winter, they handled the non-plowed roads with ease, not any worrys or slippage, even the slush was good. Now that summer is here and the tires are clean I get alot of compliments, friends are waiting for another sale for the buy three one free. I will most likely get another set for the price, I ride route 95 at 80MPH and they hold the road like a charm, not too big and not too small. As for the vibrating in my earlier post, that went away after a few thousand miles. Unlike my Super Swampers, these I ride with confidence, even in rain, these tires really grab everything in its way. Also, I have yet to have these re-balanced, I only rotated them from front to back.
