I purchased these after reading some good reviews for my 97 dodge ram std cab 4x4 cummins truck. IN the offroad conditions i've had them in they've acceled like no other but this is the first mud tire i've had. They are very stiff it seems and that's expected but impressive under my 6500lb truck. Only had them on about 4k or so and they appear to be wearing well. Already rotated them once.

Now, the bad. These tires were quite a bit out of balance with the balance machine indicating up to 30oz per side on one of the tires. I am using airsoft pellets inside each tire (10.5 oz) per the dynabead charts and they are not balancing the tire well at all. Get quite a shake intermittenly from 40mph to 65mph. These things are noisy too but that doesn't bother me considering I have a smoke stack cut to top of the cab.

All around a good tire but due to balance issues for my next set i'll probably try something else. Going to try more airsoft pellets for balancing as well.

Detroit-E-Z-Locker.jpg

i put this locker in the rear of my yj inside a dana 44 from a mid 70's international scout running 35x12.50 pro comp mud terrains and it acted like a normal locker at first. i drove it for about 10 minutes on the freeway to meet some people to run a trail with and it seemed like a normal locker with normal pops and clunks, but after i got there the noise of the locker became unbearable. it got to the point where almost any throttle at all would make it pop repeatedly, and hard. it felt like it was going to break something else in my drive train and pretty much vibrated my foot off the throttle.

i eventually tried putting it in 4wd and it actually improved the situation. in 4hi or 4lo it acts like a normal locker again. sucks for turns, but is at least drivable.

i dont know why it does that, but ive been researching the locker a lot and there are a couple more online that say they have had the same problem. some say this locker is only for tires 32 inches and smaller, but the locker is supposed to be comparable to the lockrite and others, and they all suggest 33's or smaller just for warranty purposes so they can have deniability if one breaks.

Got a set for 35x12.50x17's recently after reading every review and comparison possible, and so far have been very impressed and happy I made the purchase. A few 'wheeling trips in the next few weeks will be the final deciding factor in what I think of these tires. So far so good.

Great for the first 1000 miles. Now they feel like I'm riding on mud tires. Dealer realigned and rebalanced with no improvement. 2007 Dodge 2500 4X4 CTD Laramie.

I have just recently bought these tires for my 06 Wrangler TJ. I have had a set of Bias-Ply Ground Hawg tires, and all I can say is they provided the most horrible riding experience that I have ever had. I know that I have just recently put the Duratracs on the jeep however I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with these tires. They balanced perfectly right off, they are very quiet as well. I am also impressed with the pattern on the tires, I had done some extensive searches when looking to replacing my last set, and I was impressed with the Duratracs on the web but I was really impressed when I saw the tires. I can say if your looking for a "hybrid" mud/AT tire you cannot go wrong.

I bought these cause they look so good & I don't mind the Noise they make! I think they sound good! I heard they don't last to long on the Hwy, but hopefully they will if I keep them rotated! Plus I paid $375 not including mounting & Balencing! I'm broke as Hell now lol ! I put 35/12.5/R18 on a Dodge 2500 4x4 Heavy Duty! I had BFG 35's & they didn't at all so I bought my Grapplers 35, & don't think they would Rub but there wide & I think that's the reason! I bought a Leveling Kit for the Front that should raise it 2.5" hopefully cause it makes me cry to see those beautiful Tires getting ate up! But if anyone has any advice about that leveling kit before I put it on & waste more money & it not work! Please E-Mail me at perkins704@yahoo.com Thanks! Any advise will be very much appriciated! My names Robbie!

I have these on my 2000 Silverado, P255/70R 16 since 2003 and it is 2010 that equates to 7 years... and the tires are still going strong. The tires now have 90,000 miles on them and still have 3/32 tread left. I need a new set and will replace them with the exact same tire. Love em... Pricy but worth it in the long run...

Just had these put on my 2000 Derango a few days ago. Thought I'd post because I got them at a really good price and they are replacing the Best: XLT M/S. For now, I would say these feel good. I put them on wed grass and could not get them to spin (even the XLT's did). I can feel a slight drag as compared to the XLT's, but other than that, so far, I like them. At half the price of my other consideration (Dick Cipek Mud Country), I hope I made a wise move.

Used in all conditions up in Canada. Worked well as a general highway tire. Used mainly on highway driving.
