I do a lot of rock crawlin at an abandoned quarry and these tires on on my modified and chopped bronco. The Trepadors have been taking a beating and get great traction on the rocks. They're a little chewed up but it's the rocks I'm on alot I think that are wearing them down. There's a few good mud holes around to and these do well in the mud. Rick Elson - TN

This tire is simply amazing on the rocks. I have a set of 37x14.50s on a YJ and wouldn't trade them for anything. They outclimb swampers hands down. They also clean out fast in mud. They don't do great on the highway, but that can be expected from a bias ply tire. Overall, excellent tire for trail riding, very rugged, and very tough.

I have the 35x12.5x15. Tire breaks in quickly. Run 4psi back and 6 front on a 3500 lb rig and flexes quite well. NO GROOVING NECESSARY. One draw back would be the outer lugs will wear the front edges off quickly if ya like to spin them on sharp rocks. Not any worse than a normal tire just the lugs are so tall and aggressive. Tread depth is the deepest you've ever seen, 27/32nds in the middle of the tread, much more towards the edge. I don't care much for mud anymore but what I have been in they cleaned very well. I will be going bigger and probably get the comp version.

I went through three sets of LT265/75/R16, 6PL Buckshots on my 01 Dodge Ram 1500. For everything short of hardcore rock crawling, these tires are as good as it gets. I used these tires in rocky desert terrain. They have a perfect compound that doesn't shred and chunk out in the rocks, they are incredible in the snow, and have wonderful drivability, and wear characteristics on pavement.

I just bought my 2nd set of Buckshot Mudders and I'm very happy with the product. I have had many sets of other mud tires in the past, but these outperform them in all situations from mud to rocks to wet/dry pavment. This is the only tire for me and my rig. Keep up the good work as I am now a lifetime customer and also a salesman for your tires to any and all who ask me about my tires. Great tire!

I drive a 1993 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 with a straight six. I got the truck from my dad about six months ago. He bought a set of Buckshots 4 years ago and we have never looked back. These are by far the BEST tires I have ever used. Mud, snow, swamp, dry/wet pavement, it doesn't matter, we never have a problem getting out of what we get in. We wore our first set down to near slicks and they still got us through the thickest stuff we could find in Ohio. We just put on the second set of Buckshots 3 months ago and have been wearing them ever since. Sweet tires!

i give this tire a 10 star rating offroad, but its terrible trying to keep them balance for street use! i have 15*10 rims on my 1989 bronco and they had to put weights on both sides of the rim 8 ounces on the insde and i forget how much on the outside of the rim! (brand new rims)

I have a set on my Jeep Rubicon, second set actually. Put a lot of miles on the first set and wore them down until they didn't perform too well in the mud anymore. But I liked them well enough to buy another set. In my opinion this is a very good tire. On the street it does great, decent traction, low noise. Offroad they do great in the mountain area where I go wheeling. I can say that they don't hold up too well to a railroad spike (picture attached). Bummer. No patching that hole. - Eric

I've had this tire on my 98 TJ for a year now and put about 25k on them. They've worn pretty well on the road and offroad the do pretty well in various conditions. I've been through rcok gardens and pretty muddy areas and they do pretty well. I've been stucka few time but if I had lockers I would have gotten out I think. I'd recommend these.

These are indeed a fair choice in a "compromise tire", i.e. one which sees both pavement and off-pavement conditions. My only complaint about the current BFG MT design is the so-called "rim protector". While it may protect the rim in some situations, it tends to behave like a "probe" which, when it makes contact with a rock or the side of a rut pushes the sidewall in away from the rim, thereby inviting the entry of foreign material into the bead, which results in a slow leak. These tires do not perform as well as you would expect on pack snow or ice, but then what tire does? I'd say these are a good choice for the occasional off-roader who doesn't usually air down. If BFG lost the rim protector, I'd buy another set. Until then, I'm tire shopping for my next set.
