I use eastwoods encapsulator and yes its just renamed corroless.I didnt know it came in black now.I have used the por-15 and it was not user freindly at all and very hard to clean off hands and equipment. Its also very sensitive to moisture/humidity.I used some last year on a rainy day,it dried quick ,but a few days later I opened the can up to use the remainder of it and it dried in the can .I called the rep ,and he said it was because it had been exposed to moisture.
I've used both of them on my restoration-----POR-15 on the entire frame and EASTWOOD's Coroless on the radiator support. What I have noticed with both of them is they work great on rusty metal, but when applied to unrusted metal-- they don't adhere that well ! It can pop off fairly easily when hit. The POR-15 is much harder and durable (so it seems !) and is my choice between the two! Rick
I tried to stop rust in the floor pan of 1949 Packard about 12 years ago, after wire brushings and grinding down to bare metal, I painted it with Rustoleum Rusty Metal primer, 3 months later the cancer was coming back thru the primer.
I ground it off again and tried Eastwood's Coreless primer, when I sold the car 6 months later (I was moving and had no place for the car) the rust had not returned. So Coreless is better than Rustoleum, but I don't know how it directly compares to POR15. I used POR inside my frame rails and on the Trailing arms last year. It is rock hard stuff, so far the TA's look just like they did when I painted them (of course I haven't had them in the weather too much since then.

I painted my frame and suspension/chassis with POR-15 about 4 years ago and it looks as good now as it did the day it was painted. In areas that are highly visible, like the the frame and crossmember in the engine compartment, trailing arms, and control arms, I sprayed some of Eastwoods Chassis Black on teh POR-15 while it was still tacky. It looks great. I've never used the Corroless or Rust Encapsulator, I'm sure it's a good product, but I've always had good luck with POR products.
First I purchased this product for a skid steer loader that was used to load and spread ag lime. Talk about rust, most was in the front part. Why I bought it in the first place was low hours and the price was right. This rust encapsulator has saved me hundres of dollars of parts that would have needed to be replaced. I tried sandblasting with aluminium oxide and it was just an expensive mess that did little to the rust. Extensive wire brushing and this product restored it to almost new.

I have a set of 49" on my 77 Chevy stepside w/stretched front fenders I only needed 15" lift (not a rock crawler, just for mud and street.) I can't give them a 10 yet because I still need some upgrades to put it in the big mud holes that swallow 44's whole. If nothing else the girls always want a ride. (in my truck)

i've had these tires for 8 months on my daily driver and got about 60% left on 'em. tires are great aires to 8psi-12psi. they chuck enormous amounts of mud, rocks(about 5" diameter), snow, dirt, sand, gravel and grass 15-30 feet. i got some mud to fly 20 feet straight up, covered my buddies truck when he was following too close, and knocked off my friends wiper blade with a rock at around 30 feet.
they are wonderous tires in almost every catigory. sand and street ain't too great. they dig to much in sand and get you stuck.
each tire takes over a pound of weights to ballance, then the weights fall off while wheeling. really rough on street and are crazy loud.
my first day wheeling with them i nearly cut off all the lugs on the rear tires while flexing. my tires are now 2 stage lug tires cuz of my fenders cutting the shit out of the lugs. i had to cut 3 1/2" out of wheel wells. my old tires tucked in fine but these 33x13.5 15R (actual with 15" at furthest points) are easily cut and sliced.

I hate it when people diss this product, ive seen it on 2 cars, and it worked wonders for each, maybe because they are mercedes benz's. im not to SURE about the carburated versions of the tornado...
But for example, my parents 1997 mercedes C230 got on avg 28mpg at 70mph on a few 250 mile trips we took. one day we saw the commercial for the tornado, installed it when we could get it, and wallah, we did another 250 mile trip up and down at 70mph, and we tested 32mpg...
Take that all you haters out there who did tests on the tornado and found nothing improved.
ALso tested on a 2002 ML320 mercedes benz, it got on avg 18mpg on the highway at 70mph, we did the tornado as soon as we could and guess what! They take alot of 200-500 mile trips, and the car went from 18 to 21-22mpg on avg... EXPLAIN THAT!
Im sick of these people dissing the tornado and saying it doesnt work.
