Best Rust Bucket

This is Chip Moffitt's 1971 CJ5.  Jeff towed his old CJ-5 in from Schwenksville PA using his Jeep YJ as the tow rig.  Chip say's that in previous years at this Jeep show, his pride and joy CJ5 took 1st place in the Best Rust division.  However this year it looks like the people at Jeff Daniel's eliminated the Best Rust category.  So Jeff sat in the back lot all day wondering if it was time to strip the old "Dauntless" 225 V6 engine equipped CJ5 down and get that fiberglass tub he's been thinking about.  We say go for it Chip.  But before you go ripping off what little metal is left on that bucket this year we'll give you the honors and trophy  of "Best Rust Bucket".  Now sweep up the pieces and go glass!

Rust Bucket Award

This beauty sports all the latest that the rust belt can offer, including a rotten frame, gapping holes in sheet metal, missing body parts that fell off on the way to the Jeep show, high tech air conditioning using specially vented floor pans (more gapping hole looking at asphalt) and seized parts.  But it's got the name Jeep stamped in to the side and a bonus V6 emblem on it and that's all that matters at this show.  Thumbs up to you Chip for having the go-nads to bring this heap out year after year.
