 This
time we decided to go with a recommendation from a local and check out the Central Hotel
in Curwensville, PA for what was deemed the best steak in Clearfield County. The
Central Hotel is located in the center of downtown Curwensville on Filbert Street, just
downhill from the only traffic light in town at Filbert and State Street. I must
say that Jim and Dee Null, owners of the Central Hotel (and catering service) live up to
their reputation for making the best steaks in the county. Even Eric, who has been
known to send a so-called steak or two back to the kitchen thought the steaks were
great. We were greeted at the table by Jim Null who chatted with us briefly.
After some great steaks and exceptional service we thought it would be a good gesture to
recommend to anyone who may be in the Curwensville PA area to check out this establishment
for some fine food and spirits. While you're there mention to the owners that you
saw this page in Offroaders.com, the same guys who they met back in January of 99.
