My brother was pushed into wearing Hankook tires on a X5. These tires could be the worst I've experienced so far. Poor traction in rain and snow, cracks developed on sidewall after 5 months, noisy, and unusually hard rubber. After 6 months we happily bought Michelins. I don't think the Koreans are ready to play in the serious tire performance crowd just yet!

I have been using Michelin tires religiously until I started to notice a decline in quality on a few I purchased a year ago. I've tried Bridgestone on two SUVs we have and now I know what I have been missing. Traction in snow and ice here in Chicago has been excellent. Very low road noise on highways. They simply feel like a pair of high quality shoes. I will always purchase Bridgestone for my SUV from hereon. Michelins will continue to be used in my 911.
