Centralia Mine Fire
Smoke rises out of the ground, the smell of sulfur is in the air, the ground collapses as homes are destroyed. Science fiction? Think again.
This is Centralia Pennsylvania, where a town was destroyed by a 44 year old mine fire. Read More

Scenic Skyway Ski Lift
The Scenic Skyway at Knoebels is another of the many rides purchased from another location and brought here for all to enjoy.  Originally located in Sugarbush Ski Area in Vermont. this leisurely ride takes you up the side of the mountainside on a peaceful, quiet, 14-minute journey traveling ¼ mile up the forested hillside and back down again in spectacular fashion, to a total of 2,600 feet.

As you climb the hill screams and laughter fade behind you as you are lifted hundreds of feet above into the beautiful woods of the mountainside above the park.  The view from above is a breathtaking one giving you the sensation of a different kid of thrill ride.

When you reach the summit, and make the 180 degree turn at the top, you are 360 feet above the park below.  Your decent down reveals a majestic view of Knoebels park and the surrounding Susquehanna Valley.  Most impressive is the view of the Twister Roller coaster that rises grandly above the tree tops below.  As you look at down into the park you realize just how much tree cover there is here.  Trees everywhere that give you welcomed shade on those hot, sunny days .  One of the many valued highlights of this great family park
