Sound isn't loud enough
|
|
I bought this about 2 years ago to install in my F-150. It hasn't given me any issues other than it isn't loud enough. I have it mounted vertical in the center concole so that the speaker is facing me and even at full volume, it isn't loud enough. I'm not hard of hearing but it just doesn't sound good. I plan to try an external speaker but I first have to find a place to mount that. Otherwise I like the radio. It seems to do fine with transmitting. I'd like to have a few more features that my other radios had like talk back. Not sure I'll be keeping it indefinitely. I miss my old Cobra 148 GTL. Now that was a radio.
