Presenting the all new Jeep
Liberty. This is Jeep's latest addition to a long line tried and true
Jeeps. It features new designs and technology but keeps that familiar
"Jeep" look. At first it may be much to swallow but it kinda
grows on you after time.
The new Jeep features a 3.7L
Power Tech V6 which delivers 210HP and 230FT/LBS torque. The new
engine is designed after the Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8. The new Jeep is
equipped with an all new Rubicon tested IS43 suspension system. Which consists of an IFS
setup up front and a 3 link solid axle in the rear. Jeep also is
introducing a rack and pinion steering setup for increased on and off road
performance.
Some of the nitty-gritty
specs are a 104.3" wheelbase, 38.1degree approach angle, and 24.5 degree
breakover angle.
Other items include
available leather trimmed, power adjustable seats. 69 cubit feet cargo
room with the 65/35 rear seat down and a new swing away rear gate.

It saddens me a bit that
Jeep will stop production of the Cherokee, having been a Cherokee owner in the
past I will miss them. Supposedly, Jeep is going to begin delivery of the
Liberty in March. I hope it lives up to the reputation of past Jeeps and
continues the strong Jeep heritage. If you buy a Liberty send me a message
and jeepfan.com will feature you as the first Liberty added to the readers Jeeps
section.
