Cabin additions

Fourwheeling
Offroad

New for 1998 is some renovations and additions to the 10 year old cabin.   The wood burning stove was replaced with a fireplace.  The interior was then covered with T-111.  Under the T-111 was installed fiber glass insulation for those cold middle of the winter nights.  Also, while they were at it, electrical outlets were installed along with an exterior outlet where a generator could be plugged in giving power to the interior outlets.  cab1.jpg (12476 bytes)

Here is a before (left) and an after (right) of the same corner of the cabin. The wood burning stove was replaced by an open fireplace. The walls have all been insulated and covered with T-111. The floor has been repainted as well as all of the exterior.  In short, it looks like a whole new cabin!  Nice work Steve.

Here is the new building for the most part completed.  Eventually the doors at the rear of the building will have a level grade of stone allowing a vehicle to enter the thru the front of the building and exit thru the rear double doors.  Nice for pulling the trailer in for storage or repairs after a hard day on the trails. Also out back was placed one of the necessities of   "roughing it" up here.
